​Have you ever been dismayed to see what your children have found on the internet?  Do you feel you have been inundated by the media trying to get your attention with negative, if not horrifying, stories?  If you have answered yes to these questions, then this website has been created for you.  Great News Worldwide will carry stories to inspire you, to give you ideas to implement to make your community caring and dynamic.  Great News Worldwide will be a website you know will not only be safe for your children, but plant ideas that will come to fruition in their lives, and generations after.

Please let me introduce myself, I am Robin Scott.  I have taught at a wonderful university for the last 20 plus years and retired Professor Emeritus.  During that time many of my students have discussed with me that they would like to have a news outlet for all of the wonderful things that are happening every day, that most of the news is actually good news!  For example,  one of the wonderful things about teaching was that 60% of young adults volunteer in the community.  Now that is a statistic to get excited about!

Additionally, I taught a leadership class in which we brought in many and varied case examples.  The students reported that they could see themselves in one or more of these accomplished leaders.  They would come up with ideas for their lives based on what they heard from all of these positive and amazing stories.  So, we will feature inspiring local people, and equally inspiring people from around the world.

Before teaching, I was, and still am, an attorney.  There are, as you know, very many negative stories about the legal profession.  However,  many amazing legal stories go unnoticed.  Under the ‘Ask the Professor’ button, there is a paper I wrote on ways the law can help foster peace in a multicultural society. 

Perhaps the most amazing and wonderful thing that has ever happened to me is my family.  I have two adorable granddaughters who are about as different from each other as they can be.  I have two grown children who are married, so I feel like I have four children.  My husband and I have been married 40 plus years, and it really does get sweeter every year.
